Headphones

Some days the world is too damn noisy. There’s so much hustle and bustle and talking and shouting and moving that I can’t concentrate. So I sit down to do homework and put music in one ear, because I know a friend will be walking by soon. But studying is worthless. All I can focus on is all of these busy people. So I slip the other ear some peaceful noise and all of the sudden I can breath. It’s just me and my music, and I finally know what Jacks Mannequin meant by feeling alone in a crowded room.
